Noein and Mushishi

ノエイン もうひとりの君へ (Pronounced “Noein: Mou Hitori no Kimi e” and translated loosely as Noein: Towards another you or other self”), is a Japanese TV animated series that aired between 2005 and 2006. This anime combines many elements of adventure, drama, sci-fi etc.

In the near future, a bloody war takes place between two dimensions, namely La’cryma (where the protectors of humanity live) and Shangri-La (where entities that fight for the annihilation of the human race, as well as their entire s4af64d084b3752cd4a3bf5028f6aaf8bpace time continuum). A gang known as the Dragon Calvary is sent to travel through time and space to retrieve a device which is their only hope for stopping this invasion.

In parallel to these events, the audience can see the present now, in which a 12 year old girl named Haruka is planning to run away from her home together with her friend Yuu. While getting ready, they meet one of the Dragon Calvary, a guy named Karasu, which in Japanese means crow. He thinks that Haruka is the one who has the device he has come to retrieve from the future.

Mushishi, written 蟲師 in Japanese Kanjis, is an animated TV series that also aired between 2005 and 2006. The plot revolves around Mushi, which are the most basic life forms on Earth and whose mere existence does not seem to have any purposes or goals. They exist beyond good and evil. Mushi can emulate various life forms from our world, such as germs, diseases, plants, meteorological phenomena like rainbows, etc. This series is very philosophical, given that some of the Mushi seem to be bothered by not knowing why they exist and what their purpose in life is. In any case, these are just a few of the life forms that coexist in the vast world of Mushishi. There are many other creatures and beings of all kinds.
